2G 3G 4G bands in Ghana visualized

Click to enlarge. While looking for a phone or a modem to buy, if the phone or modem supports a network's band, you can use that network's band. If your phone or modem doesn't support a network's band, then it cannot use that network's band. Your connection may be slower or you may have less signal, or you may not be able to use that network at all. Your phone or modem must be unlocked, or locked to the network you intend to use. For example, a Huawei E3372 modem supports " FDD: DD800/900/1800/2100/2600 UMTS: 900/2100 GSM:850/900/1800/1900 " DD800 means band 20. 900 means band 8. 1800 means band 3. 2100 means band 1. FDD without giving more context refers to a kind of 4G LTE. The tower and phone transmit on separate frequencies. 38,40, and 41 are not FDD.
